Having a baby isn’t the easiest thing in the world – any mom can tell you that. It’s challenging, it can be frustrating and it’s definitely tiring. But here’s the thing about all of those things: the little joys always outweigh anything else. Being a mommy can be tough, but it’s also rewarding as all hell. And one of those little happiness’s that comes hand in hand with being a mommy? Baby smiles. You really can’t help but smile when you see a little one looking at you with a big grin!
When RJ started smiling – like the big, gigantic baby grins - I fell in love with him all over again. I mean seriously, who can look at this big, toothless grin on this teeny face and not feel their heart grow about six sizes in the course of a minute? Yeah, I thought so. But when he started laughing…Ohmigoodness, it’s the best. I’m sure all the other mamas out there can relate – baby laughs are the absolute best thing in the world! Don’t believe me? You’re about to lose that skepticism…
A little smile – and you’re already smiling. Am I right? Yep – thought so. And we’re just getting started.
The monster grin – and yes, I do realize that there’s a little something mischievous about my little guy. The hubs tells me that sometime in the next five years, I’m going to walk into the kitchen and the door’s going to be mysteriously off of the oven. I guess la babe takes after hubs…
But moving on. Baby smiles. Baby laughs. Loves it. And you’re about to, too:
That would be my four month old babe laughing. And growling – his daddy taught him that one… Oh, and the background noise at the end? My
moose dog decided she should help herself to some ice from the fridge. Cah-razy girl.
Soooo yeah. There’s no WAY you don’t have a big fat grin on your face right now! I know, I know. You’re welcome
